Chromebook Returns

Hale students have been issued Chromebooks so that they can complete their schoolwork. These devices were either provided by Hale or by LAUSD. Your child may have been issued one or the other or both.
 
LAUSD Chromebooks
Devices that were provided by LAUSD remain with the student until they leave the district. Even if the student leaves Hale, they may keep the device if they go on to another LAUSD school. If your student is an 8th grader and they will be attending Taft, they may take the device with them. If the student will be attending El Camino, then they must turn in their computer to Hale.
 
You have an LAUSD Chromebook if any of these are true
  • You received the Chromebook during one of the large distribution events last summer
  • The computer has a touch screen
  • The computer has a silver sticker on the bottom with the words 'ECF Funding' on it
  • The computer can connect to the Verizon network
 
Hale Chromebooks
Devices that were provided by Hale remain with the child as long as they are a Hale student. If the student is a 6th or 7th grader and they will be returning to Hale next year, then they may hang on to it. If they transfer to any other school, they must return their Hale Chromebook. This includes all 8th graders.
