Parent Portal

To be able to access your child's grades, assignments, etc. you will need to activate your parent account and then link it to your child's account.
 
If you have created a parent account in the past for another child, you do not have to create another account. You just have to link the new child to your account. (Go down to the section on Linking Student Accounts)
 
 
Creating a Parent Account
 
If you have never created a parent account:
 
    • Go to the Parent Portal page and choose 'Register For an Account'.
    • Enter the parent's first and last name and enter a valid email address. This email address will be your username.
    • Click on register.
    • To complete the registration, check your email. Click on the link "Activate my LAUSD Account"
    • Create a password. The password must meet all of the criteria in the list. Make sure that all of the red X's turn into green checkmarks.

Resetting Your Parent Account Password
 
If you have created a parent account but cannot remember the password, you will need to reset it.
      • Go to the Parent Portal page and choose 'Parent Login'.
      • Click on 'Forgot Your Password?'
      • Enter you email address and a message will be sent to you with a link to reset the password.
 
 
Link Your Child to Your Account
 
    • Go to the Parent Portal page and choose 'Parent Login'
    • Enter your Username (email address) and password
    • Click Yes or No to receive the Parent Student Handbook
    • In the 'My Student' section, click on 'Add Student'
    • Enter the 4 digit Parent PIN, Student's date of birth and Student's District / LAUSD ID
    • Click on Add a Student
    • If the Parent Information and Retrieved Information is correct, click 'Finish'
    • Click on the name of each student to view information.

To Access Schoology (Grades and Assignments)
 
    • Click on the student's name
    • Click on the Grades and Assignments Icon (green)
    • Click on any course name
    • Re-enter your email and password. Click 'Login'
