Hale Charter Lottery Results are Now Available 
Results are listed by Application ID #. 
You can find your application ID in the confirmation email from the district. 
The first 200 names in the 6th grade class will be offered a seat. Numbers over 200 will be on the waitlist. 
7th and 8th grade applicants will be waitlisted pending openings. 
Green numbers indicate twins.

Hale will hold its annual lottery for seats in the Affiliated Charter on February18th of 2022 for the 2022-23 school year. Only on-time applications will be included in the Hale Charter Lottery. 
 
The on-time window to apply to Hale Charter Academy for the 2022-23 school year closed on November 12, 2021. 
 
You can submit a late application to three different schools on the Hale Campus through the District's Unified Enrollment portal at GoTo.LAUSD.net :
 
The file below (Pre-Lottery Groups) includes the application numbers of students who will be included in the 6th grade lottery, sorted by district priority groups, and arranged numerically. This information is subject to change. A final version of the data will be posted prior to the lottery. When you submitted your application, the District sent you a confirmation which included your application number. This number can also be found by logging in to your application account at apply.lausd.net. 
After the lottery, we will add the lottery numbers and repost this information. 
Charter Lottery Results
The results of our 2022-23 Affiliated Charter Lottery will be listed in order by LAUSD Unified Enrollment Application Confirmation number. Confirmation numbers can be found by logging in to your account at apply.lausd.net. Results are unofficial until you are contacted by the district. 
 
"Selected" indicates you were randomly chosen in the lottery for one of our 200 seats for incoming sixth graders. 
A number indicates your wait list position. 
 
All on-time applicants for positions in the 7th and 8th grade classes will be placed on a wait list until positions are available. 

Charter Lottery applications have been Validated not Verified

Applications were Validated by the district for: Address, Birthdate, Grade Level, District ID, Siblings

 

Enrollment at Hale requires Verification of: Birth Certificate, Proof of Residence, Immunization Record, Grades and Test Scores, Completed enrollment packet

 

 

District Order of Priority Admission for New Enrollment

  1. Resident Students of Hale Attendance Area (not part of the lottery)

Based on Operating Capacity, The District allows for a lottery to offer a limited number of seats for the following groups of students:

  1. Non-resident students with a sibling* at Hale residing within LAUSD boundaries
  2. Non-resident students residing within LAUSD boundaries
  3. Non-resident students with a sibling* at Hale, residing outside LAUSD boundaries
  4. Non-resident students residing outside LAUSD boundaries

*Siblings must be in grade 6 or 7 in 2022-22, and continuing at Hale Charter during 2022-23.

 

Late Applications

Submit a late application beginning February 1st at apply.lausd.net

Late applicants are not included in the lottery

When lottery lists are completely exhausted, late applications will be considered in the order received.

 

Enrollment Capacity

Based on District Estimates we have openings for

200 6th grade students in the Charter School

 

7th and 8th grade openings are to be determined by available seats. 

 

Lottery Process

We will run separate lotteries for each priority category of student in each grade.

We will use a random sequence generator (Random.org) to generate a random number sequence.

This will be overlaid on the roster of applicants, and sorted by number to determine the order of the lottery.

We will post the results of the Lottery on the school website by Unified Enrollment application number.

These results are unofficial, until you receive a selection letter from the district.

Selection letters will be sent to parents by the district in mid-March.

Parents must either Accept or Decline the offer in the selection letter.
