How To Prepare for School

Follow these steps, and you'll be ready!

1. Create a Daily Pass in the morning before coming to school

2. Take a screen shot of the pass, and save it on your phone, or print a copy
3. If you have an outside COVID Test, bring a copy to school
4. Check Schoology for your schedule.

5. If you don’t have a schedule, we’ll help you find one in the Lunch area, or the MPR
6. If you have an old student ID (even from another school), bring it with you and show it at the gate – this is optional, but will help speed up the process.
7. Faculty and staff will be at every gate to help students find their classrooms.

8. Above all else, drive carefully, and keep our students safe!
CHROMEBOOKS
If you do not have a Chromebook, a Parent/Guardian can pick one up from the Local District Office if two conditions are met:
1. A request at https://device.lausd.net was submitted.
2. An appointment is filled out via Google Form: bit.ly/ecfldnw

The pickup address is:
Local District North West
6621 N Balboa Blvd, Building 4
Lake Balboa

Make sure that you answer 'Yes' to the question 'Do you need a device' and 'Yes' to the question 'Do you need internet access at home'.

COVID TESTING / CONSENT

Instead of requiring every student and employee to test weekly with a PCR test, only those who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or who have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive, will be required to test. All testing will now be conducted with take-home rapid antigen tests, which are available for students and employees at your school.

All school campuses will also continue to use the Daily Pass portal for daily health screening questions, monitoring rapid antigen test results and to notify you and your child if they are a close contact of someone who has tested positive.
MORE THAN A MEAL
Please complete this meal application which is required of every family, each school year. Even though the district will provide meals free of charge to all families, the information collected in the form will be important for us to understand the needs of the families in our community.

TRANSPORTATION

For families in our magnet or special education programs who are wondering about transportation eligibility, the district sent home letters to parents with information about routes and pickup times this week. If you did not receive a letter, you can find this information on the parent portal. Look for the school bus icon.

FAMILY GUIDE
Download the Family Guide to learn everything you need to know about the District's plans for full, in-person instruction as we prepare to return to school this fall.
