To help support student, family and staff health and wellness, LA Unified has partnered with Health Net to bring “Free Flu Vaccines,” regardless of insurance status, to our school communities. The Student Health and Human Services Hotline (213) 241-3840 has added Option #7 for Nursing Assistance. The Hotline is operating M-F, 8am-5pm. School Nurses are available to answer questions/concerns regarding:
Immunizations for school entry
Medications at school
Specialized Physical Health Care Services (protocols)
School Health Forms.

Planting the Seeds for Healthy Kids at Eucalyptus Elementary “I love that the school takes the time to grow so much and teach the kids the importance of gardening and healthy eating, and I love to see the kids harvest the fruits and veggies that were in the garden.
 
 
 
 
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES . The purpose of the TUPE program is to reduce youth tobacco use by helping young people make healthful tobacco-related decisions through tobacco-specific educational instruction and activities that build knowledge as well as social skills and youth development assets.
