If you would like a receipt for your donation, please see Mrs. Goodman in the Main Office before you donate the items. (She cannot issue receipts without having seen the items first.) Be sure to let her know that the items are for Mrs. Johnson’s class — otherwise they go into general circulation — and they will send them to my room after issuing you your receipt
Items are listed by priority. Paper towels and tissues are items we need and use constantly, so they are listed first. If you would like to check with me before donating something to make sure we still need it, please feel free to email me.
Paper Towels: I strongly encourage hand-washing among my students in the interest of keeping cold and flu virus transmission down, and they usually dry their hands with paper towels. I also use paper towels to clean desks, the counters, and the white board.
Lysol, Clorox, or generic disinfecting wipes: I try to keep the desks as clean as possible, again to cut down on virus transmission.
Print-quality colored paper: (NOT construction paper) Printing things onto colored paper seems to help the kids keep track of important papers, so even just one package of colored paper (any color at all!) goes a long way.
