Course Description
Oct 17th we will begin to study towards our annual Horticultrue contest. This will take us in (3) three different directions. One, learning a list of often used tools, about 48 different items.
Two; Fertilizers and amendments; about ten different types.
Three; Shrubs, trees, vines, ground covers, bedding plants, ferns, perennials, house plants, over-all about (80) eighty different plants.
You will be quized throughout this learning process, so pay attention and learn each category very well.
We will also branch out in our lab (outside) work and learn some pruning technics for fruit trees and ornamentals. Transplanting and planting deciduous trees and shrubs. And general care of plants over the fall and winter months.
Our horticulture contest is in January, not sure of the date yet.
