Course Description
The course will consist of computer literacy (computer history, terminology, and the fundamental components of a computer system), keyboarding, and the use of computer application software and internet research.
Use word processing to create, edit, format, and save text. Selected documents will include a 5 paragragraph essay, clip art, developing logos and other graphical applications.
Use presentation software/graphics and the internet to create effective presentations. Learn how to use the internet to retrieve information for academic and practical application to every day life.
These topics are are brought together to provide students with a real world application through the creation of various professional looking documents.
Develop creative, organizational, critical thinking skills as well as reinforcing basic computer skills and attention to detail. These skills provide the knowledge for computer programming and computer literacy.
