2026 Summer Bridge program for incoming 6th grade students

Dear Hale Parents,

Hale Charter Academy will be holding a Bridge Program for incoming 6th grade students on the following dates:

7/27/26 - 7/31/26 (M-F) from 8:30 AM through 12:30 PM

The objective of the program is to help students acclimate the newness of Middle School and to get to meet some of their classmates and make some friends.  Each student will rotate teachers that they will interact with 2 new teachers each day.   The program is meant to help students transition to Middle School and is non-academic in nature. Space is limited based on the number of teachers that have offered to participate.  We will cap the program to 300 students.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the Google Form below as soon as possible.

A few important notes:  LAUSD is not funding this program centrally as it has in previous years due to budgetary constraints.   The program will be funded by Hale Charter Academy's school site budget.

  1.   We will not be providing food service during the program.
  2.   We will not have a school nurse this week.
  3.   No Transportation will be provided.
  4.   We will have a Special Education support person, but no BII's can be provided as this is an optional       program outside of the instructional school year.
  5.  Outside non LAUSD personal such as Home Respite workers or ABA providers are not permitted on campus to act as one-to-one aides.
  6. There are no after care programs available, so all students need to be picked up at 12:30 PM

We look forward to another amazing Summer Bridge program this July!

Sincerely,

Ahsaf Goldman
