Second Semester Begins Tuesday, January 12

Hello Hale Families,

We hope you enjoyed your Winter Break. On Monday, January 11, Hale faculty will spend the day making final preparations for the start of the second semester which begins on Tuesday, at 9:00 am with an Odd Day Schedule. There has been a slight modification to our weekly bell schedule with the addition of increased office hours. The new schedule is attached to the Sunday email and below. Make sure students get a good night’s sleep, so they are prepared to resume work on Tuesday.

Students should also take a moment before school begins to log in to their school accounts using your Single Sign-On username and password.

We suggest that you reset your password before the start of the second semester at

If you have any technical issues you’ll find support on our website, or log in to our Virtual Tech Support Zoom meeting, Monday through Friday from 9:00 to noon.

Be prepared to pick up your schedule, and attend classes through Schoology at, just as you did last semester. Questions about your schedule should be directed in an email to your grade level counselors:

6th Grade: Mr. Salinger -

7th Grade: Mrs. Rothaupt -

8th Grade: Mrs. McKenzie -

Most of you will be using the same books you used during the first semester. If you have questions or concerns about textbooks, please email Ms. Santi. We will set up a date and time during the second week of school to pick up necessary books.

If you have not signed up for a Parent Portal account, you can do so at You can use your account to track your child’s grades, attendance, and school records in Schoology.

Look for a class syllabus coming from each of your child’s teachers. This will inform you of what your child will be learning, and what will be expected of them during the semester.

When your child is absent due to illness, please notify the teacher and email the attendance office when your child returns to school.

When your child is absent due to technical issues, please notify the teacher immediately.

You may check on your student’s attendance through the Attendance tab in Schoology.

Also, please check Schoology regularly to keep track of your child’s progress in school, including their Grades and Assignments.
