Exploratory Horticulture (Period 5th)

Students learn about basic garden tools and how to safely and correctly use them.  They will learn the names of the tools, and some of the most commonly used plants in the industry.  They will learn how to organize and work together on small outside landscape projects.  They will study the benefits of recycling for the community as a whole.  They will recyle plastic bottles and aluminum cans after lunch from our eighth grade lawn and surrounding areas, and they will have a tremendous amount of fun doing so.
