Developing Readers (Period 5)
Course Description
Greetings,
This class will provide students with opportunities to learn reading strategies that will improve comprehension, vocabulary, decoding, writing, and fluency of non-fiction text. The learning strategies, when used, are intended to have a positive impact on academic achievement in all classes this year and in the future. Organization strategies are embedded in the program to help students learn how to file papers in the correct section of their notebook , use a binder reminder and maintain a neat backpack. Parent support at home with notebook organization is helpful and encouraged
