Assignment
In preparation for the book project on Lupita Manana, you need to have the following sections:
1. Brief summary of the entire book. Do not copy the summary from the back of the book! The summary should be long enough to explain the main events in the book but short enough so you do not rewrite the book. The summary must include the most important events that occurred in the book as well as who the primary (main) characters are and what their functions are in the story. What is the book about?
2. Describe the main characters in the book. Include who they are and what their purposes in the story are.
3. Describe the setting of the story. Include specific details and adjectives.
4. Plot:
-opening of the story--the events that occurred in the beginning of the story.
-conflict of the story. What problem/s are the main charactes facing, dealing with?
-complications in the story. What is stopping the main characters from solving the problem/s in the book.
-climax--the turning point. Describe the main events in which the character chooses a way to solve the main problem. Usually the most exciting part of the story.
-resolution--the problem is solved and the story ends. Hoe does the story end? What happens after the character/s choose a way to solve the problem?
This is a draft. Due at the end of the class on Tuesday, May 18th.
