Performing Arts Program: Instrumental music, Choir, Drama, Media Arts/Film and Dance
Jazz Band: A full year class for students who have been playing saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, piano, or drum set for at least one year. Different styles of jazz music will be taught, including swing, Latin, and blues..
Beginning Winds: A full year class for students who wish to learn how to play a wind instrument. No prior knowledge of music is necessary, an instruments are provided.
Beginning Strings: A full year class for students who wish to learn how to play a string instrument. No prior knowledge of music is necessary, and instruments are provided.
Advanced Orchestra: A full year class for students who have been playing a string instrument for at least one year. Different types of music will be learned and performed during the school year.
Advanced Band: A full year class for students who have been playing a wind or percussion instrument for at least one year. Different types of music will be learned and performed during the school year.

Beginning Choir: A semester-long class that explores various styles of choral music with performance(s) during the year. For 6th grade only.
Advanced Choir: A full year class that explores various styles of choral music with several performances during the year. For 7th & 8th grade only. Auditions based.
Piano/Keyboard: A semester-long class that introduces piano techniques with classical and popular music. For 7th & 8th grade only.
Drama A/B: A beginning/intermediate class covering theater fundamentals that requires daily participation in pantomime, projection, character study, and public speaking.
Drama C: This full year intermediate/advanced class requires daily participation to increase skills in pantomime, projection, character study, script analysis, mask work, script writing, and improvisation. We use techniques from different cultures and time periods.
Drama A/B: A beginning/intermediate class covering theater fundamentals that requires daily participation in pantomime, projection, character study, and public speaking.
Drama C: This full year intermediate/advanced class requires daily participation to increase skills in pantomime, projection, character study, script analysis, mask work, script writing, and improvisation. We use techniques from different cultures and time periods.
Play Production: A full year advanced class emphasizing acting and all theater production skills including school plays, video production and field trips. Students write, direct, produce and act in an evening of original work.
Beginning Film-Making: This class covers the basics of film-making
Advanced Film-Making: This full year class is a continuation of film-making skills. The class may include editing with final cut and animation.
Dance: A full year class for students who are interested in learning about various
styles of dance including ballet, jazz, folk, ballroom and hip hop. See Mrs.
